Doug Dick, Founder

Doug has over 35 years of experience working in the plumbing industry.  Doug founded 3D Mechanical in 2014 with the vision of building a company set above the rest through incorporating his values of honesty, integrity and teamwork into the business model. He believes these values are essential in maintaining trusting relationships with contractors, customers, employees and the community.  

Doug spends most of his time with the company now studying plans and writing and submitting bids for future projects and dreaming of retirement!

Doug has been married for over 35 years and has 4 children.  He enjoys spending time with family and especially enjoys his time up north on the lake, boating and fishing in the summer and ice fishing in the winter. He recently became grandpa for the first time with another one on the way!

Adam has over 30 years of experience working in the plumbing industry and has been with 3D Mechanical since it's inception in 2014.  He maintains a Minnesota Master’s Plumbing License.  As a Master plumber he is highly skilled in planning, management, arrangement and installation of plumbing for both interior and exterior water service, sanitary sewer and storm sewer systems and is knowledgeable of all the requirements governing the same.

Adam grew up in Elk River, MN and soon after high school found his calling when he was offered a job at a local plumbing company that specialized in plumbing residential homes.  In 2003 he naturally progressed to working for a commercial plumbing company where he acquired the additional knowledge and skills of the trade and quickly became an invaluable member of the crew.  Adam seized the opportunity and decided to make the move to 3D Mechanical in 2014 aligning with Doug’s vision for the future of the company.  He was hired on as Foreman and ran some of the biggest and most challenging projects.

Adam made the move out of the field and into the office in 2024 becoming the new President and subsequently purchasing the company.  With his vast experience and knowledge along with his drive and motivation to continue the mission of the company he is the perfect person to fill this role.  Adam is now completing plans and creating bids as well as visiting our current sites regularly to ensure operations run smoothly.

Adam has been married for 23 years and has 3 children. He recently also became a grandpa! In his spare time, he likes to go fishing and enjoys being outside and staying busy with projects. One thing most people don’t know about Adam is that he also likes working with wood and building various things.  

Gail earned her degree in Office Administration from the Minnesota School of Business.  She has over 30 years’ experience working in the office setting managing all aspects of day-to-day operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, HR, payroll, sales & marketing and development and implementation of operational policies and procedures, as well as providing ongoing improvements in quality, productivity and efficiency. 

Gail spent most of her career working as the Operations Manager in a local home health care company, then transitioned not so naturally into working as an office manager in the autobody industry for which she spent 6 years.  She started at 3D Mechanical in October 2025 as the Office Administrator.

In her spare time Gail likes to spend time with her family which includes spending as much time as possible with her two grandchildren.  When not spending time with family she enjoys working on home improvement/renovation projects and furniture restoration.  During the summer months she enjoys camping and spending time on the lake.
